Emily jayne creates
Zentangles- Normally have fun in my sketchbook with this style. It’s a chance to practise different patterns and experiment with different characters.
Mixed Media- A mixture of different materials are used to enhance my skills and experiment with colours, usually on a canvas.

I love abstract art at the moment; I wouldn’t be doing all those Disney Zentangle pieces if I didn’t. But I never used to like them, at school we did a couple of different abstract styles and I just didn’t understand how it was art- a few random strokes on the paper- but then I found Faye Halliday and loved her abstract animals she drew with patterns and I decided that I wanted to do something similar to her.
Mandalas are supposed to be similar all the way around and the same patterns should continue throughout each circle. They represent balance and are used as an aid for meditation in different religions. I draw mandalas as a way to relax and escape reality for a number of hours
I wrote a post as to how to get inspiration for artwork, which you can read here, this time I am going to find reasons for what makes the art inspirational. Inspiration can mean many things to different people.
This artwork was produced as a memory of my beloved cat who sadly past away March 2016. I wanted to make an abstract memory of him covered with actual photographs of him so that he will be remembered in our hearts for a very long time.
